Location is everything. It can drive growth or derail momentum for a business. That’s why Scott Alexander, president of BlueScope Properties Group, was so determined to find the right commercial development location for Coca-Cola when they wanted to expand their Central Florida facilities.
Ultimately, he recommended a location in Apopka, a northwest suburb of Orlando that has seen explosive population growth. According to a local media outlet, Apopka’s growth rate is outpacing both Tampa and Orlando. Beyond the proximity to labor, this location provides Coca-Cola with access to major thoroughfares. It is only four minutes from the entrance to State Road 428, the Western Expressway to Orlando.
“The market dynamics here are fantastic,” Alexander said of Central Florida. “Population growth has driven a lot of things.”
